In the Eastern region, access to drinking water supply systems seems selective in view of the costs related to the microbiological analysis of the properties of the water, connection to the public drinking water supply network, and the creation and maintenance of springs, wells and boreholes equipped with human-powered pumps. This report presents the main observations of the investigations carried out in the city of Bertoua as part of the transfer of State powers in the area of ​​drinking water supply.
