FollowTheMoney

A pan-African, citizen-led movement tracking government spending and international aid to hold power accountable in rural and underserved communities.

Project Summary

FollowTheMoney is a pan-African led initiative that was founded in 2012 by Connected Development of Nigeria. It seeks to advocate, visualise and track government spending and international aid, and let you know how effective it has been in our rural communities.

FollowTheMoney (FTM) has been able to ensure sustainability by empowering citizens to take ownership of the process by being fully involved in holding their governments accountable at all levels.

Since 2021, FollowTheMoney partnered with ADE to become an extension of the Covid-19 Transparency and Accountability Project (CTAP) in Cameroon and nine other African countries.
