Eau Pour Tous

Project Summary

The project aim was to obtain detailed data from the stakeholders involved in the water and sanitation sector in the town of Bertoua and the institutions involved in the project financed by the Government of Cameroon, AFD and the EBRD. It sought to understand the roles and responsibility of each stakeholder involved. The project  also engaged the media in advocacy for universal access to drinking water in Bertoua by presenting the research work  “Water governance and well-being of citizens in the city of Bertoua: the case of Bertoua 1 & 2”. Throughout this project, we had advocacy meetings with certain key stakeholders implicated in the governance of portable water in the project target communities. These stakeholders were; the mayors of Bertoua I and II, the regional council, traditional authorities, district hospital, CAMWATER, sub-divisional officer and lastly citizens. So far, we have received feedback from the ministry of water and energy acknowledging our work in Bertoua.
