As we approach the 2025 elections in Cameroon, the stakes have never been higher. But are Cameroonians really prepared for the upcoming elections? Can we concretely assess the rate of civic engagement and political participation among citizens, especially among youths?
In a country with over 29 million inhabitants like Cameroon, the number of registered voters has struggled to surpass 9 million. This disparity is evident from statistics provided by Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) over the years, with the number reaching 8.1 million in August, 2024.
